Wedding Receptions at Coral Cove

Coral Cove Resort is located at the edge of the magnificent Caribbean Sea on the South Coast of Jamaica.  It’s a very unique property with a private cove boasting the best of the coastal world; both low cliffs and private beaches. As it is one of the few hotels with private beaches, guests are presented with a spectacular setting that is well suited for a couple’s intimate wedding or a larger dream come true reception with family and friends.

Our natural setting overlooking the cove allows us to set up a beach reception with Tiki Torches that span the private elevated beach and the lower beach at the ocean’s edge. With the inclusion of a bonfire at all receptions, the warmth and beauty of the flame is a sight to behold against the background of the black sky speckled with the most vivid stars.

The large columned, open to the sea pavilion at the top of the cove is very popular for receptions and dancing and offers a picturesque view of the entire cove and ocean. The privacy is unmatched compared to larger resorts and semi-private beaches and you will truly feel like you have discovered something special.

The recently completed Crownstone on the cliff is another great option for receptions of up to 30 guests. The thatched gazebo, with a full service bar surrounded by a patio seating area at the ocean’s edge,  has hosted several beautiful receptions since it’s completion in the fall of 2011.

We can handle private receptions for up to 150 guests at Coral Cove. A tent rental would be an option for weddings  with more than 70 guests.

We would be happy to help you create a theme for your reception, as well assist in creating a themed bar with unique drinks.

Entertainment options for your reception are numerous. Coral Cove has a state of the art sound system and a staff technician.  Guests are able to bring their own music collection using their laptop, Ipod, Mp3 or CDs and get a professional sound. We can also provide a DJ, Master of Ceremony, as well as any type of live music from a Soloist, Instrumentalist, Mento Band or a full Reggae band.

A Botanical Setting
Beautiful tropical flowers are one of the key elements that add to the ambiance of a wedding. Whether a bridal bouquet, centerpiece, petals on the aisle, a palm or floral arch, we will make sure that the selections are perfectly suited and presented for your wedding and reception. We have provided here a partial list of some of the possible floral decorations that can be provided as well as list of flowers that we are able to source either at Coral Cove or from one of the area florists that have a wide variety of both seasonal tropicals as well as a variety of imported flowers.  Flowers include but are not limited to: orchids, lilies, hibiscus, roses, carnations, chrysanthemums and bougainvilleas among many others. Bridal bouquets, boutonniere’s, wrist corsages, and bridal head wreaths are all available in your favorite flowers. A complete list of the floral offerings can be provided by our wedding coordinator.

 Wedding Cakes
Our “Tropical Wedding Packages” all include a couple’s wedding cake in your favorite flavors which can serve up to 8 guests. Try a traditional Jamaican rum cake freshly prepared by one of our bakers or a more tropical vibrantly decorated creation. The flavor, icing, fillings, and decorations are all made just for you.

The Cocktail Hour
A great time for allowing your guests to mingle and taste the best of Jamaica after the ceremony and before the wedding reception begins. It also allows the bride and groom time to get those important wedding pictures taken prior to sunset. We have a great selection of appetizers to choose from. Waiters are on the job during the cocktail hour offering wine and cocktails, as well as appetizers, to your guests as the sun sets into the sea.
