Block Hold & Group Cancellation Policy
A block hold is where a block of rooms or the entire property is held for US$100.00 per room. The room block’s purpose is to allow the principle party time to receive R.S.V.P.s from their potential guests and it allows their party members time to make deposits on the rooms that were held for them. Blocking the rooms prevents other unassociated parties from making reservations on the held rooms.
Ex. A bride and groom decided to hold their wedding at Coral Cove and would like to hold 8 rooms in addition to theirs at the property for their guests. Thus, they make their 25% deposit on their reservation to secure their stay. They then pay $100 for each room they want to hold. Since they want to hold 8 rooms on the property, they will pay $100 for each room they hold amounting to $100 (8) = $800. In order to finalize this, the bride and groom would send the signed agreement, their 25% deposit on their reservation, and $800 for the rooms they are holding. Coral Cove would then hold these rooms and prevent other parties from reserving those dates.
Once the held rooms are confirmed with a 25% deposit from the other guests, the $100.00 per room hold fees can be credited back towards the principles package. However, Coral Cove Resort will not credit the $100 on the account of the primary party for each held room that wasn’t booked.
Ex. A party decides to block six rooms ($600), but Coral Cove only receives deposits from guests on four rooms. Coral Cove would thus credit the principle party $400 and the other $200 would non-refundable.
All cancellations that meet our Cancellation Policy and have a refund due will be processed in accordance to the policy stated, less a 5% credit card fee for those payments made by credit card. Refunds will be issued and processed within one month of written request.
In order to ease the minds of guests about the upcoming hurricane season. Coral Cove Resort General Manager Tyler Zindars has decided to introduce our hurricane guarantee. This guarantee is effective as of July 17th, 2008.
The guarantee will be in effect at the time the US National Weather Service announces the formation of a hurricane in the area. If the hurricane interrupts the use of all included services, Coral Cove Resort will offer a free replacement vacation. This offer will be for the same duration as the original booking, regardless of the number of days which were affected by the hurricane. The category of rooms would be the same as booked and will be subject to space availability. The offer is valid for one year and does not include the airfare. The offer is subject to change without notice.”
Furthermore, Coral Cove Resort has partnered with Travel Guard to offer travel insurance as a package add-on for added security and convenience. Please see our brochures for additional details on coverage and terms. Contact us with any questions.
No shows, late arrivals, change in the number of persons in your group after arrival, and early departures are all non-refundable. No refunds will be granted.
